Chamber Music – CLAJOS Schumann Trio

Founded in 2024, the CLAJOS Schumann Trio serves as the resident ensemble of the Schumann House Düsseldorf, where it also gave its debut concert. As a piano trio, it develops programs that set female and male compositional styles in dialogue, revealing musical conversations and striking contrasts.
The repertoire starts in the 19th century, with trios by Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel, Felix Mendelssohn, and Johannes Brahms, and continues to grow. Each performance carefully positions the works in relation to one another, bringing their contrasting expressive styles and subtle tonal nuances vividly to life.
The CLAJOS Schumann Trio approaches chamber music as an art of relationships—between works, eras, and genders—revealing hidden structures in the piano trio repertoire, opening new tonal dimensions, and showing how the differing compositional approaches of women and men bring unforeseen facets to form, texture, and sound.

Chamber Music – Duo Khimaira

The Duo Khimaira is a German-Italian violin and piano duo. Its programs consciously create a dialogue between works from different eras and countries, setting familiar pieces in dialogue with rarely performed works and offering audiences fresh perspectives.
Collaboration and education are central to the duo’s approach. International projects, educational initiatives, and social programs—including a partnership with Ghetto Classics in Nairobi, Kenya—connect musical practice with cultural responsibility, opening chamber music to diverse social and cultural contexts.
The repertoire spans from the Classical period through the Romantic era to modern music. It includes works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Franz Schubert; Clara and Robert Schumann; Johannes Brahms, Edvard Grieg, and César Franck; and, from the 20th century onward, Claude Debussy, Francis Poulenc, Erik Satie, Igor Stravinsky, Alfred Schnittke, Arvo Pärt, and Gian Francesco Malipiero.
The duo’s collaboration began with performances of Franz Schubert’s Forellenquintett, first taking shape in Venice and Munich. Since then, they have undertaken projects across European cultural centers and beyond.
Duo Khimaira approaches chamber music as a fusion of programmatic depth, European perspective, and social engagement—a dialogue between eras, cultures, and people.
